Weaving the Liminal: Divine Timing

I don’t believe in coincidences

Hello loves,

I bought the book Unseen Universe: New Secrets of the Cosmos Revealed by the James Webb Space Telescope. For weeks, I’d been eyeing it on the top shelf of a display at a local bookstore. A photo of Jupiter on the cover caught my eye. Iridescent greens, blues, purples, and bright pink speckles across the surface of the planet. A hologram coming to life off the black background.

On my tiptoes, I plucked the book off the shelf and opened it. Tears filled my eyes. Looking at the images, so many different feelings bubbled up. I didn’t understand what was happening in my body.

For 15 years, I worked in aerospace, supporting spaceflight missions like Juno, GRAIL, and many more. I was so focused on the builds, the deadlines, and getting everything done that I rarely saw the bigger picture of what we were working toward. The James Webb Space Telescope was one of those missions, and standing there looking at those photos, I realized what I had helped make possible.

A dear friend greeted me and invited me to join him on a cozy couch where he was working. We’ve been spending more time together, having great conversations as we get to know each other, and sharing our poetry. He surprised me with a beautiful journal.

Holding it in my hands, I noticed its weight. I love how its gold surface reflects the light, and how the vase and branches of apple blossoms seem to pop off the cover. I can’t help but run my hands across the smooth gold, feeling the different textures under my fingertips.

My current journal is so close to being complete, and I’m looking forward to writing in this new one.

I spent First Friday this month doing psychic readings at one of my favorite community hangouts. A few people sat with me as I read their soul essence. I was honored to sit with them, their curiosity, and their vulnerability. It meant a lot that one of my friends got a reading. I love that he could experience a little of what I do.

For the last twenty months, I’ve been doing psychic readings and healings for people who were seeking clarity, felt lost or stuck, and were navigating so many other things that come with being human. I am a neutral and grounded presence. With each person I sit with, I read their energy. I provide space for them to reconnect with themselves, and discover parts of themselves they may not have recognized before.

Reflecting on all of this, along with becoming an ordained minister in September, I decided to make a change to my business offerings. I am expanding beyond companionship. As a spiritual counselor and healer, I can walk alongside and support anyone through my psychic practice, no longer limiting myself or the people I can support.

I love people.

The people who sit with me for readings and healings. The people who are my friends, new and old. The strangers I meet along the way. And the people who are curious about me too, because I love a conversation where we’re both leaning in.

I’ve always considered myself grounded and nonjudgmental. Lately, people have been reflecting back how easy I am to talk to and how free they feel to be themselves around me. They share things they wouldn’t normally tell anyone, and they’re usually surprised that I’m still there, curious, leaning in, and listening.

I planned a guided journey through the senses, a six-week online writing series called Textures: Awaken Your Senses — Autumn. I was looking forward to hearing people share what memories bubbled up onto the page during our time together. No one signed up.

Apparently, people need to experience me first. I need to build trust with my audience by hosting mini writing sessions. Then maybe people will commit to a six-week writing series with me. Now I’m wondering, how does one build trust on the internet and across social media platforms?

What helps you trust someone online? Please share. You can leave a comment or email me at naomi@themoonofyourheart.com.

XO,
Naomi
