Weaving the Liminal: At the Threshold

Hello loves,

This past week has felt like a door quietly opening.

There have been small, ordinary moments:

  • Standing outside a coffee shop with people I am getting to know and feeling unexpectedly at home in their presence.

  • Music spilling out onto the sidewalks, dancing without hesitation, laughing and talking in the late night open air under Venus and Jupiter.

  • A friend handing me a jalapeño from their bag because they have been enjoying them and wanted to share that delight with me too.

Simple things, gestures of love, and I’ve been responding to all of it, taking it all in, reacquainting myself with a part of me I haven’t spent much time with in years. She didn’t disappear, and I didn’t forget her. It’s more like she’s been tucked away somewhere while other parts of me took the lead.

She’s emerging.
Slowly.
The part of me that delights easily, loses track of time in conversation. The part that remembers what it’s like to be in a group where there’s closeness and connection, yet each of us has room to be fully ourselves, fully present.

It’s surprising how often this has been happening with people I’m only just getting to know.
Through presence.
Through shared moments.
Through the simple exchange of being human together.
The timing of it all is opening space for this part of me to be seen again.

Even a tarot deck I’ve had for a long time feels different in my hands lately. It’s more alive, vibrant, and playful.

And noticing.
Noticing what is still here when I am here.

Like a door I didn’t realize has been open all along.

And I am standing in the doorway, smiling as I cross the threshold and step into the light.

What small, ordinary moments have you been noticing lately? What part of yourself is emerging or asking to be seen again?

Please share, I’d love to know.

XO,
Naomi
